Where does the name pan come from?
We always wanted a short, powerful name for our concept. One that stands as a concept in itself and that personifies our basic principle - Close to home, a place that creates the feeling of a holiday, of pampering. While laying the roof tiles on the roof - a characteristic item of the Scheldeschuur - the name Pañ came up. While designing the logo, the accent was placed on the n. This is the literal cross-section of a roof tile and forms the common thread throughout the concept. Figuratively, it is a nod to our Zeels dialect, where the pronunciation of words ending in -an has a southern feel. Figuratively, the waves - whether or not in combination with a letter - form a different symbol each time, which represent the different aspects of Pañ.

Wie is verantwoordelijk voor de bouwwerken?
Our father or 'Vauken', Lucien Carnoy. Famous and infamous in Zele and beyond. First a carpenter, then everything else. Driven by a childlike curiosity throughout his life, his quest and pursuit of perfection never cease. After more than forty years in the trade, he’s a bottomless well of knowledge and experience. The madman who took on this even crazier project.
To everyone’s surprise, officially retired ‘since 2023.’ No joke, seriously. Given that this place has already become his second ‘home’ over the years, you might just bump into him here—tinkering, chatting, snacking, or enjoying a pint straight from the tap.
Who created the website ?

Who was responsible for the interior design ?
Ilse, who inherited the curiosity and perfectionist side of our little one, the eye for beautiful things and the desire to pamper our little one. With a little bit of an edge and a great love for the perfect imperfect. After a taste of graphic design, a greater love for interior design and good food, she still opted for some school of life in a concept store. Driven by a great desire to create a beautiful place herself, 'the plan of Pañ' came after the discovery of the old barn.
